A Warm Spot offers a warm, welcoming space for people to visit this winter if they need it. They are run by a range of different organisations including churches, village halls, local councils and libraries.

Age UK South Lakeland - Kendal

Community Cuppa, come along for a lovely afternoon of board games, bingo and free tea & coffee, plus useful information about services, events and groups for older people.

Age UK West Cumbria - Pow Street, Workington

Hot drinks, soup and rolls, activities, information and advice, home energy checks, winter warmth grant (Allerdale residents only)

Age UK West Cumbria - Solway House, Workington

Age UK West Cumbria - Wigton

Tuesdays: Conversation and debating group. Thursdays: Heartwarmer soup and sandwich lunch. Fridays: Craft Club. All sessions will provide access to information and advice services via Age UK West Cumbria

Allithwaite and Cartmel Parish Council, Cartmel

Join us in the supper rooms at cartmel village hall. A warm welcome awaits you, with access to the community library, WiFi, games and soup at lunchtime.
Mostly the venue will only have the warm rooms running at the time but occasionally the main hall will also have events on at the same time. Parking available at the site.

Alston Town Hall, Alston

The main area will be in the hall which is upstairs (lift available). There will be informal tables and chairs for socialising and lots of things to do, including board games, cards, crosswords, dominoes, newspapers and more.
It is planned to offer group activities such as bingo and quizzes. We want to give people what they want, so we will be asking visitors for their ideas and suggestions.
The main area (upstairs) is where food and drink will be available from the adjoining kitchen.
Downstairs, within Local Links and the library there will be a quieter area for reading and use of the computers. A full range of leaflets offering advice and information will be available to pick up.

Ambleside Library

Various activities for all ages. Free wi-fi. Public PCs to all members, easy to join. Books and online resources available to members.

Appleby Eden Cricket Club

Community based cafe with quiet activities. Prayer space, use of which is optional
